While pitching the camp you have to keep a vigil eye on the wildlife. Remember if you are near the bushes, therefore beware of critters, rats, small snakes, and other animals. Beware of mosquitoes, they are the vectors of malaria and dengue. Ticks and other insects can bite and cause irritation, in rare cases these insects carry diseases. Take strong measures to prevent insects in your tent.

8. Be Safe around the Campfire

Camping in winter needs igniting fire not only for keeping you warm but for cooking purposes too. Before igniting the campfire, beware of preventive measures. Make sure where you are litting fire that area is wide open. Keep fire away from your camp nearly 3 to 4 meters. Make sure that you have put the flammable items like aerosols, gas bottles, fuel tins away.
